Good morning Sharks!

Below are a few updates and reminders for the first week of the summer swim season.

Monday 6/2: Swim Team Assessments

Tomorrow (Monday, June 2nd) we will have swim team assessments from 5:00 - 6:00pm. This is an opportunity for your family to meet the coaches and for the coaches to determine the appropriate team/lane for your swimmer(s).

If your child cannot attend the swim assessments on Monday, you can come to any practice this week and we will evaluate your swimmer at that time.

Practices will begin on Tuesday, June 3rd. Please be on time with suits, goggles, swim caps, and water! Below is the practice schedule for the season:

June 3 - June 17*

• 4:30 - 5:00 PM: Pre-Team
• 5:00 - 6:00 PM: 10&under A team
• 6:00 - 7:00PM: 11&up A team

No morning practice until MCPS 2024-2025 school year ends. First day of morning practice will be Wednesday, June 18th.

June 18 - July 18*

• 9:00 - 10:30AM: A-Team (all)
• 4:30 - 5:00 PM: Pre-Team
• 5:00 - 6:00 PM: 10&under A team
• 6:00 - 7:00PM: 11&up A team

July 21 - July 25*

• 5:00 - 6:00PM: All Stars swimmers and other interested team members

* There is no practice on Saturday or Sunday. There is also no afternoon practice on Wednesdays when a B meet is scheduled.

Friday, June 6th at 6:30-7:30pm: All swimmers are invited for a pep rally where we will decorate team banners, practice cheers, play games, and eat pizza!

RSVP for Time Trials: Saturday, June 7th from 8:00am-10:00am.

Please arrive at the pool at 8:00am for a brief warm-up. Time Trials is where swimmers receive times for their events and these times help the coaches to make line-ups for the A-meets against other teams. Time Trials are for swimmers that are able to swim the full length of the pool without stopping. All swimmers are welcome and encouraged to come to Time Trials and cheer for their teammates! Please RSVP for Time Trials by clicking on Event/Meet Signup on our website.

If you cannot attend Time Trials, swimmers can get their times at the first B Meet on Wednesday, June 11th at Eldwick.
